"What is it?" I asked.
"It's a gift for you" he answered," but first you have to guess what it is."
"Is it round?" I asked.
"Yes, you can say that"
"Is it prismatic?"
"Hum..."
"Is it a kaleidoscope?"
He didn't say anything....I'd guessed the gift.
"Hold it up to the light" he said.
A slight twist of the wrist and red turned to violet. We fell in love. Yellow turned to orange. We were married. Green turned to blue. We had our boy.
"The Kaleidoscope", an ever evolving painting, is an icon representing something much larger than myself. 5'x8', Acrylic on wood. The Birds Eye Maple frame is made by my father Michael Radcliff.
"The Kaleidoscope" made it's public debut in Fall 2009 during Our Common Ground's Art Walk event.
